In 1999, Finlands governmental Forest Service has logged tens of old-growth forests. The only way to stop old-growth destruction seems to be direct action by NGOs. ..and while Greenpeace stays in Kukkuri-forest, Forest Service is logging elswhere. At the moment (March 28) there is logging going on in Kuhmo municipality 100 kilometres away. New road was built on the edge of old-growth forest and young monoculture plantation. White Greenpeace-car blocks the road.
